A Journey with an Unknown Destination…
Since I survived near death, I didn’t want to waste the experience I had with crystal meth and illness so I began writing about it. Meth has a way of killing you very, very slowly which, ironically, is what helped me realize I was in some serious trouble….and is how I came up with the name of this website.
In the Beginning…
My idea was to share those experiences and maybe discourage others from making the same mistake, or help others who may know someone who is using. Many people who get caught up in drugs are not bad people – but there are also some nuts out there and some of those nuts also abuse drugs. Never assume
Rather than offer specific advice, I prefer to tell a story that is broken up into different ideas, thoughts, realities, non-realities, hallucinations, deception, paranoia, revelations …or anything I feel. My perception of what happened during those days always seems to be changing. I always end up seeing it from another perspective I hadn’t thought of before which can change the entire story.
Healing Myself
Writing my story was also intended to aid in my healing. I wrestled with tremendous guilt and embarrassment for a long time, and I found expressing myself here helped a great deal. Guilt also effects depression – something else I suffer from.
I feel if my writing is genuine, there can be no mistakes and the only mistake would be to lose the lesson. Trust in myself that my decisions are correct and uniquely my own. Knowing and believing in something makes anything possible.
