“Chase down your passion like it’s the last bus of the night.” ~Terri Guillemets
As of late, I have been doing more things that I enjoy which makes me much happier (duh). My passion for creating something out of nothing whether it be a craft, an art, and even writing something on a blank page has been working towards my ultimate happiness.
If you could, what would you do?
It’s not always easy to figure out what you’re going to enjoy doing. Sometimes it’s so obvious that it takes you half a lifetime to figure it out as it did me. Sometimes you need a friend to push you in the right direction, or in my case, several friends over the years. Sometimes I’m a little dense!
Ask yourself this question….
If you didn’t have to work or pay attention to responsibilities, what would you most enjoy doing? Whatever the answer is (and hopefully a positive thing) try bringing it into your life.
Balance Is Key
Of course you can’t ignore your responsibilities so finding a good balance is going to benefit you the most. Too much fun can even make you immune to it’s healthy effects because you become too use to it and then you’re just spoiled.
Start Simple
If you love travel because of the adventure but you may not be able to afford a great vacation, see what you can do locally. Many times people miss out on what’s right in their own backyard.
If you love nature and feel at peace there, check out some parks you’ve never been to, or even regular walks through the neighborhood will help. Many of us miss things because we’re always in the car but taking a walk changes everything.
Do you enjoy creating things or gardening but feel like you’re in a rut? The internet is full of creative ideas to spend an afternoon which is way better than watching the people on TV have all the fun!
Love to write? Have you ever considered writing for your own website? It’s surprisingly FUN!
My Experience on Passion
The more I do that’s fun, the more I don’t remember the things I don’t want to remember…..which is why I’m writing this. It’s simple and many people know this, but for those like me, it took forever to learn. Your passion will bring you accomplishment, bring you a purpose, and bring you contentment.
