My Journey Has Improved So Let’s Add Some Color to This Website!

Peace is a journey of a thousand miles and it must be taken one step at a time.” -Lyndon B. Johnson

Yes, you’re in the right place I just decided to do a little redecorating!9|365 Orange and turquoise

I was sitting here one day staring at my computer screen and realized that the old website theme was a little dark and gloomy. Not in a bad way because I did like the theme but I thought, if I noticed it then maybe it’s time for a change?

Earlier in the Journey

The old theme reflected where I was on my journey more than three years ago and it definitely was in a greyish time of my life. As I look back at some of the photos I used. it was downright creepy and a little depressing but that’s exactly what I had to express. Part of me was happy three years ago, but I didn’t realize I had a lot more darkness to journey through before I shed the trauma created by using crystal meth. (more…)

Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t–you’re right.” -Henry Ford

Are you still using drugs? You don’t have to be. Do you think your life is too far out of control to turn it around? You’re wrong. Do you think you can’t do it? Oh, but you can! You are so much more than you think you are and you’re capable of so much more than you realize!. (more…)

Inspiring Story of the Mexican Fisherman

Thursday, August 9th, 2012 | Permalink

Howdy people, I wanted to share this story with ya. Ya know, I swear I posted this once before but I’ll be damned if I can find it on my own site! LOL Then again, during a recent bout of depression, I may have deleted the post. Done it before…  Pescador/Fisherman (Explore)

Maybe you’ve read it somewhere before but it always helps to be reminded of the moral of this story. Hope you enjoy it.

The Story of the Mexican Fisherman

An American businessman was standing at the pier of a small coastal Mexican village when a small boat with just one fisherman docked. Inside the small boat were several large Yellowfin tuna. The American complimented the Mexican on the quality of his fish. (more…)

Attention Conspiracy Theorists and Those Who Live in Fear

There is a power inside every human against which no earthy force is of the slightest consequence” -Neville Goddard.

Once upon a time I was a full-fledged conspiracy theorist due to the huge amount of time I had on my hands while trying to recover from an illness. All I had was time – it took me over a year to recover with a lot of waiting and patience. In that time I happened to stumble upon conspiracy theories while sitting at the computer for endless hours with nothing else to do. I got sucked in. (more…)

Meth Memories and Lost Time

There are some things one remembers even though they may never have happened.” ~ Harold Pinter, Old Times

See the light behind the clouds....

Since I have been writing about my crystal meth experiences one thing has remained constant. I am not sure, nor have I ever been sure, of what was real and what was not real. I have had to accept the things I remember so vividly  …may never have happened. (more…)

Bring More Joy Into Your Life

Chase down your passion like it’s the last bus of the night.” ~Terri Guillemets

Have some Fun!

As of late, I have been doing more things that I enjoy which makes me much happier (duh). My passion for creating something out of nothing whether it be a craft, an art, and even writing something on a blank page has been working towards my ultimate happiness.

If you could, what would you do?

It’s not always easy to figure out what you’re going to enjoy doing. Sometimes it’s so obvious that it takes you half a lifetime to figure it out as it did me. Sometimes you need a friend to push you in the right direction, or in my case, several friends over the years. Sometimes I’m a little dense! (more…)

Don’t Worry & Let Things Fall Into Place

Be careful what you water your dreams with. Water them with worry and fear and you will produce weeds that choke the life from your dream. Water them with optimism and solutions and you will cultivate success.” ~ Lao Tzu

~Siesta Key~Here I sit in Sarasota, Florida! I really had no idea how this was going to happen, all I knew was, my partner and I wanted it passionately.

I have to admit I was very stressed out about it in the beginning. Trying to find a home to rent when my partner is unemployed and I only work part-time from home at best. Having to fudge a little on the rental application was traumatic for me! I hate to lie. Luckily, a friend offered to pay the security and 1st month to get us going. (more…)

Our Road Trip

To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world. ~Heather Cortez

In a couple days I will be flying across the Gulf of Mexico to get the one I have been waiting for. Up until now we have made due with a long distance relationship which seemed like eons of time, but has only been a few months.

I’ll be driving us 1,200 miles on this road trip from the Lone Star State to the Sunshine State. We won’t be flying back because of the critters we will be carrying. He will not give up his animals which is one of the many reasons why I love him so much. (more…)

I Didn’t Know I Was Asleep Until I Woke Up

You have succeeded in life when all you really want is only what you really need.” ~ Vernon Howard

Wake Up!I recently had a conversation with someone about why it often takes a traumatic event to wake a person up out of a zombi-like existence.  That’s what it took for me – it took almost dying.

Now that I look back over my life, I see I got slapped by life many times.  When I didn’t pay attention I would get a harder slap, and each slap I ignored would get harder and harder.

When I still didn’t respond, life punched me so hard it sent shock waves through my entire being  – in every dimension it occupies. (more…)

Happiness Doesn’t Equal What Others Feel You Need

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” ~ Leonardo da Vinci

The big red oneThis isn’t the first time I have written about this, nor will it be the last. I like my life to be as uncomplicated so I ask myself, “What do I really need?” Yeah sure, I do have more than I really need but I live in America after all but everything is in moderation. I really don’t want the things that will allegedly make me “cooler” than the next guy. (more…)
