I’m pretty sure you know that I’m a gay man and us gay men are stereo-typed as, “swinging from the chandeliers.”  For the better part of the past two years, I’ve been almost living like a monk.  I don’t mean shaving my head, wearing a robe, and meditating, I mean I’ve been about 99.99% celibate by choice.

I have a profile on a couple “hookup /dating” websites and chat with guys but I never let it go anywhere. I am almost living vicariously through my own profile and never act on anything. I’ve had offers to go meet for coffee, movies, dinner, or even just a quick hookup, but I always put it off. (more…)
